Working on Your Beliefs about Play

In this lesson, we are going to be exploring your own attitudes and beliefs around play.

Sometimes, without even realising it, we can actually hinder our child's play. 

Perhaps you view play as a form of entertainment or maybe you interrupt your child at play to get them to do something else instead. 

Often the things we do that we think our helpful - such as asking questions or taking the lead in play- can have the opposite effect from the one intended. 

Let's explore these attitudes further.
